Laws differ between jurisdictions

Work health and safety laws differ between the Commonwealth and each state and territory, and they change over time. Most jurisdictions have adopted the national model WHS laws with local variations, while Victoria has its own Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and Regulations. Always check the current requirements that apply where the work is carried out, or contact the relevant regulator.

Our documents

Documents we prepare are based on the information you give us. You remain responsible, as the business or person conducting the work, for making sure the information is accurate, for implementing the controls described, for consulting your workers, and for keeping your documents under review as work and conditions change. A document on its own does not make a workplace safe.

No guarantee of acceptance

Principal contractors, clients and certifiers may have their own requirements. While we write documents to meet legal requirements and revise them under our 12-month revision guarantee, we cannot guarantee that a third party will accept any particular document.
